Avocet: The avocet is a shore bird indigenous to the area and serves as an appropriate metaphor for what the golfer needs to do on this Larry Nelson & Jeff Brauer designed course. Take a bird's eye view and fly your shots to the right spots on this South Carolina, Myrtle Beach, Wild Wing Plantation Resort. Opened in 1993, the course was recognized by Golf Digest as one of the Top 10 Best New Resort Courses in America for 1994. The layout is strategically routed through the natural wetlands, with a constant varying orientation to the prevailing east coast winds. From the tips don't forget your A-game! The Avocet Course is rated 74.4 with a Slope of 129 from the Dark Teal (Championship) tees.
Art Patscheck has used the APCD software to create a challenging recreation of this wonderful course. It is available free from the Links Corner.
