Gut Lärchenof: Opened in 1991 and now hosting the European Tour's German Masters, this Jack Nicklaus designed course needs some seasoning. Not that the routing is poor, but there is little definition to the course, which is on level farm land where the planted trees haven't matured. Eventually those trees will add definition to the fairway contours and aid definitive strategy off the tee. Nevertheless, because of the length and tucked pin placements this is a championship track that challenges a great field and produces a truly deserving winner.
Guenter Kujat has used the APCD to recreate an excellent version of the course for Links 2001 and may downloaded for free from the Links Corner.
