Muirfield Village

Muirfield Village: When Jack Nicklaus decided to hold his own tournament he went about it with every bit as much seriousness as he approached his game.  With The Masters as his model, Mr. Nicklaus designed and built his own course among the rolling terrain of Dublin, Ohio near his hometown of Columbus.  The course opened in 1974 and ever since has been the site of The Memorial, a tournament that honors the greatest players each year and one of the premier stops on PGA Tour.  Unfortunately the weather in and around Ohio in late May always seems to bring thunderstorms and rain, which all too often causes weather delays and sometimes even shortens the tournament.  The course though, is one of Mr. Nicklaus' very best layouts with fast fast bent grass greens and water water everywhere.
