    This painting was inspired by the Shinnecock Hills course on Long Island, NY and a watercolor map of the course can be seen here.  For this work I eliminated any references to landscape plants in order to concentrate on the routing of the holes and the shapes of the fairways, bunkers and greens.  Here the greens are yellow and the fairways red.  Bunker shapes are cream and outlined in deep green.  I wanted to emphasize  the organic nature of the shapes and make them electric.
